Soccer Weekend

This past weekend was the Southern Cup Districts, Soccer tournament, the top two teams would proceed to state in Pflugerville. Needless, to say we won't be making a memorable trip to Pflugerville (pronounced "Floogerville"). We were one goal away from going to state..... Maybe next year!

Speaking of goals, Ali made a goal, and it was nutty. They were coming down the field, and her friend Alex kicked in the assist to Maddie, it went over her head, and to Ali, who casually kicked it in. And I mean casually, it looked like it just dropped in front of her, and she went "Oh, hey look a ball" and softly kicked it in the goal! At the end of the game, at the team round up, her assistant coach, from England, said he wasn't sure if she was getting a drink at the bar, or kicking a goal! However, we all agree, a goal is a goal, and we'll take one any way we can get it!

They played 5 games and were tired puppies, but game 5 was against the undefeated Texas Wave, who we've played in our division, and always tied, but not this Sunday, we won! 1-0.

Jordan decided to go out for Yearbook next year. She had gotten a teacher recommendation for it, but didn't think too much about it. We talked and she gave it some additional thought, but the deadline came and went. When she went to school this Monday, they had extended the deadline until today, she was pumped and decided to "go for it" so she wrote her essay, collected 4 pictures she had taken to show her work, and had all the paperwork for her submittal. I believe tmw are interviews and we should know! Wish her luck!
Right now she's at drivers ed, making up one of her two make up classes. We're aiming to take the test on Thursday, I told her if she doesn't pass, that wastes my time and money, so she wouldn't get her license until she was 18, stay tuned to see, when Jordan D will get her license....
