can you hear the birds chirping? See the clouds separating and the sun shining brightly! Ahh, what a glorious week, school has started.
Well, I say glorious, until Ali came home and said Cross Country starts on Tuesday, and has to be at the school by 6:30am!!
We are investigating getting a parking pass for Jordan to drive to school, this will make the afternoons easier. Possibly the mornings as well, she'll be running the girls (Ali and Alex-we carpool) to Cross Country!! Ahh, the privilege of driving!
Jordan has a pretty heavy course load this semester, to the point we may not be doing the volleyball gig. Plus, the volleyball club called us, and stated that Jordan is in the 17's club and needs to be evaluated to see if she can be in the club. At this point, Jordan is fine with not being in the club, cause there's alot on her plate. We're waiting to see if we get our deposit back, or I'll be sicking Steve on them!!!
Jordan has already started her photographer role for the yearbook, actually started the day before school started. Her school will still be under construction until the end of this year, so their yearbook is called Metamorphosis, and she's documenting all the changes/transitions taking place. Already, there have been great improvements made, and it's looking great!
So get this, due to budget restraints the schools are no longer offering a late bus. Which means if Jordan has to stay after for theater, or anything, we have to pick her up (hence the parking pass, coming soon). The same holds true for Ali's school, no late bus, but this only affects us in the spring for track practices. But while they're cutting budgets there, Jordan has been issued a laptop for 24x7 usage because she's in US History-AP and English-AP, so all the students get them.....I'm thinking most households have computers this day and age, I would get more use out of the late buses...... just doesn't compute for me!
Ali on the other hand, has tried out for a fall club bball league, and that looks promising. We find out early next week if she makes the team, it looks like she probably will, but we can't be overconfident. This is a different team, actually closer, out in Tomball, the 3 club owners are all former Division 1 players. One of their daughters is a junior, and heavily be sought after by Division 1 teams, Purdue included. So to have those type recruits looking at their teams, is very reassuring for potential visibility.
speaking of computers above, Ali has 88 viruses on hers, and our desktop has 34, so now that I have the computer back and need to reload everything, we can't. So, I am still without pictures on my blog, but hopefully can get this fixed shortly.
Steve and Andy went and hit golfballs the other day, and decided they need to do so weekly. They haven't gone this week, so it'll probably be closer to monthly.
Cierra had her 9th birtday, and we all met for Mexican food dinner the other day, the restaurant brought her a sopapia, and put whip cream all in her face, it was pretty funny, she was beat red with embarrassment, we call that "priceless"
The tile guy called, his mother is in the hospital, so we're not getting that started until Monday now......hoping it's not like last time, starting to feel unsure. Keep your fingers crossed.
New project is our closet. Steve is putting a closet organizer together for it. I'm having to clean all my stuff, box stuff that doesn't fit, and so forth. Should be real nice when we're (Steve's) finished.
