Kid Updates

We went to another parent meeting for Jordan's Volleyball, they start in November, can't wait!!!

I rec'd an email recruiting Ali to play in a Fall Basketball league, from August until November, timing it right with their school season starting. We go to try-outs Aug 18th, wish us luck!

School starts August 24th - YEA!! We're trying to get Jordan's Yearbook teacher to work with the school to allow her to drive daily, therefore she'll be ready for the impromptu shooting she'll need to do for yearbook. As, Sports Editor, she'll need lots of choices of photos for the spreads. She is still working the selling photos idea to earn revenue for the Yearbook class, it ties into her FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) club, and would look very nice as her start up initiative on the college resume. She also has of course, her Yearbook credits, and Editor, Church choir, and Volleyball, this will all look nice, since they want "well rounded" individuals for their schools. This year is scholarship hunting year!! We be hunting hard!!! for lots of them.

Once Ali starts back, we have the 6am Cross Country practices, oh joy! She has seen improvements with her running, with all the conditioning she's done via bball, and is looking forward to this years Cross Country.

They both have very busy schedules, and of course, they're both social butterflies, so my job of taxi'ing is never over. Yes, at least Jordan can drive herself to the school stuff and vball practices, that does help quite a bit. And Ali will be driving in about 18 months - heaven help us! two driving, yikes, my insurance!!!
