We hunkered & survived! Steve's garage is quite a nice "hunker hideout."
That dam Ike (affectionately known as "Ratt Bastard!"), came in for a visit and stayed past his welcome! Today is day 9+ and we JUST got power. We had no house damage, or trees in our yard come down, thankfully. About every 3 houses had tree damage or totally down, or worse, house damage.
We were lucky to have a generator, but the days have been heating up, and we needed A/C, today was 88 degrees - YIKES.
The kids go back to school tomorrow, and normalicy should begin. I'll post pictures tmw or later in the week. So much to catch up on! The before, the during, the after, the cleanup, the 13th bday party that still was held!! Stay posted.....
