Remodel Update

We have finished the project! We're still alive, and best news is, we're still going forward with the sprinkler system! Yeah!
It has been a long, rough 18 day project, that should of been done in 4, but the important part is, WE'RE DONE. Both girls have commented on "loving" their new bathroom, so that makes it worth it. The best thing is having a light in the shower and all the storage they have.
We were in Lake Conroe last night and today for the Briley Family Reunion (Steve's mom's husband, see first post with family tree). We stayed at the KOA Campgrounds. We rented a 2-bedroom cabin, and it was very clean, and nice right on a canal water/pond. We had barn swallows on our patio, they had a nest, and today the eggs hatched and we had little barn swallow babies.
We saw alot of AJ's family, Steve hadn't seen most of them in over 10 years, so it was nice to visit and reaquaint yourselves with everyone and catch up on what was going on in their lives. AJ's brother, Harvey lived for 35 years right up the street from Steve and I, infact we go through his neighborhood everyday on our way to work. They recently moved, but again, nearby, but not as close, it's about 5 miles away. It's a small world.

Jordan, Ali and I came back tonight because Jordan had a birthday party to go to. Guess who's......yep, Sam. Sam turns 16 tomorrow. Originally we told her she couldn't go, because we've had this family reunion planned for months now, she was bummed, but later this week, we surprised her and told her she could go. She was all happy again!

Here are some add'l pictures I took, of the grandkids when they came over this past week. I was taking pictures of my plants, while they were still alive (when I plant, the life expectancy seems to be 1-2 months).

Caden was only going to check the water with his feet, before long his shorts got wet, not too much longer after that he was in! First swim of the year @ the Dougherty-Jarvis household! Ali joined him, then Cierra got in too. Later, Jordan and Sam joined in on the fun. Keep in mind the water temp was 68 degrees! we call that C-R-A-Z-Y!
