A year ago

we were hunkered down for Ike, and at this time without power. We were lucky power is the only thing we had to go without.....several went without a lot more. And several in Galveston still have not received funding to start to rebuild their lives...........can you even imagine, still be displaced from your home? The lesson to all of this is, don't count on FEMA, it's my understanding that the paperwork process is what is killing the financial distributions, and they're fighting with insurance agencies, if it's wind it's the insurance to pay, if it's water it's FEMA to pay, and they're not settling quickly at all, while the consumers are going without. It's really not fair, and it's unfortunate for those in Galveston still waiting....
